Billy the Squid Sculpt

So, I just got the final sculpt of the Billy the Squid toy and thought I would share it with you. He looks amazing and adorable.
If you want to get one you can prolly still snag the discounted $10 pricetag, but as soon as they go into production that will bump up to $12.
Thanks to everyone who helped me with this toy, giving suggestions, voting for the design and, you know, purchasing it. Getting a toy made was a totally new experience for me and I’m pleased as punch to have it almost under my belt.
I’ll keep you posted on Billy news as it pops up.

Also: No, you guys, the First Ship STILL isn’t Excelsior. Just like I told you it wasn’t LAST TIME. The first ship will NEVER EVER EVER be Excelsior. They’re not the same thing. Why would Gunner send Naveed to capture a ship he was previously on? Wouldn’t he have just psychic’ed it away somehow? He sent her to get something on some backwater planet because he wasn’t so inclined to go get it himself. :P

Anyway, whew! Super tired over here. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes here at Zap! and I can’t really talk about it yet, but it wears me out all the same. Some good stuff on the horizon. I’m really hopeful for 2010!

In my life news, those of you who follow my twitter or my tumblr already know, but I finally got a dog. Really, I think she sort of got me. Someone left her tied to the bumper of my brother’s truck and I was sort of fostering her while trying to find her a place to live, and she was just so great I had to keep her. Her name is Lucy and she’s a boxer.
And, whoever got me that Deviantart subscription back in December, THANK YOU! That was very nice of you. I’ll try to make it up to you by drawing pleasant things.
