UPDATE: Okay. Way too many people were confused about what is going on, so I edited the page a little to make things more clear. Hope this helps!

    They really don't look like fish to me. They look more like something that would fly. Maybe that's just because I like dinosaurs too much. Thinking about it, I could see them being really agile in the water. Any chance of seeing them in a more natural habitat later?

    It seems to me that the Aquarians scanned Reona's brain and found an image of someone she knew and trusted so they created an image of zap. It might be because they wish to communicate with her and that is just the way they are able to speak to others who are not their kind.

    I am an absolute fan of your art and am just amazed at how far you've come since Zap started (and wish I could match your skill and style). And had to say about this one... (yes, everyone feel free to call me weird)... but those boots in panel one are damn sexy. :D

    actually I think the zap reona's seeing is only a vision of zap in the past... note that zap seems to be standing in front of far more aquarians than actually just showed up... that and the weird haze over those panels... so since his psychic residue or whatever just defended her, they're basically telling her "hey, we know that guy"

    I didn't realize it wasn't apparent. Maybe I need to add even more color overlay to the mental projection panels.

    Cool! The fact that there's psychic stuff going on was apparent to me...What threw me off is that past-Zap appears to be looking at Reona in panel 5. So I got theorizing that he was some sort of psychic avatar the Aquarians would use to communicate with Reona (you know, like how the aliens in Contact communicate with Jodi Foster LOL).

    P.S. I think that panel of Zap is super sexy. XD

    ...Unless he cloned his future self, and then left him there to protect Reona... Gah. Confusing. I guess we just have to wait and see.

    I love how you show that they are showing her something psychically. I also love the rainbow-isc look of the Aquarian's psychic ability. xD

    Bah, I know they attacked Reona too and Zap saved her. No need to be rude.

    Perhaps it was just because of Zap's promise that he would protect Reona and the Aquarians are friends of Zap's. I can wonder if there is more, can't I? ;)

    To me, I think the Aquarians can't communicate verbally... so they have to use telepathy to 'speak'. And I agree with Aileri, they'd have killed her with the water spike, after the barrier fell if they were going to take her down.

    Maybe they recognized the psionic signiture of Zap?

    Anyway, we'll find out, soon enough, can't wait for next week. :3
