    Which of course is easily explanable: if the heroes died, then the villains would win, and we all know that isn't supposed to happen.
    Now that Reona's back on the scene, we can have Pirate vs Ninja vs Cyborg! (which is kind of like a robot)

    Reona is still alive because fiction taboo prevents her death :D For some reason, the trope “Protagonist's Might” has disappeared from TVTropes (probably renamed and then for some reason given no redirect algorithm to send people who search for Protagonist's Might to the right page), but that would definitely be the fitting trope here.

  • I feel like that trope is more fitting to a hero character who never gets shot by a hail of arrows, or always scrapes by. In this case Reona had some supernatural assistance.

    I always thought it fit best to a character who, given past characterization, should not be able to survive a certain event (particularly the climax fight with the main antagonist / Big Bad), but due to plot devices, sudden “powerups”/new abilities, or simply just because that's the way it has to be, they do survive and, in fact, win.

    Aaaaaand bring in the water to scare the kitty and give this whole 'fighting battle scene' a comical ending. Then everyone can go home and celebrate a good night's rest.

  • Actually, since Naveed cut her fancy new arm off, she's lost all the parts that make her a cyborg. (Unless you count that little bit left that's keeping her from bleeding out).

    However, Robot is still below deck, I believe, so you may still get a chance for Pirate vs Ninja vs Robot, although Robot isn't female, so it doesn't have the girl-on-girl(-on-girl) aspect you were probably going for.

    On the other hand, there's still SPANC (http://www.sjgames.com/spanc/). It's even illustrated by the great Phil Foglio!

    Reona doesn’t have her sea legs yet, and it’s all Pascalle’s fault. She hasn’t let Reona stand upright for two minutes since she first boarded the Duck and Cover.
    Plus, losing an arm tends to mess with your balance.
