Sorry, Io. Naveed is clearly Team Gunner.

they are both so icky i suppose it makes sense that they would end up making out or whatever…i’m still kind of like, “ewwww” – i think mostly because kissing gunner seems like kissing a ravenous zombie space squid that’s just pretending to be friendly and could at any moment tear the other person apart.

  • they could have closed the door first~

  •  Oh, don’t think Gunner didn’t want Io to see.

  • Nico

I’m not generally one for furries, but DAMN this is HOT!

  • Mr_stress

    getting a piece of tail….

  • Joe_Rocker

I didn’t see this coming with Io.  Given their role, it was easy to assume that their interpersonal dynamics only existed between themselves and their primary interaction with Naveed was out of a sense of gratitude.   This ads a dimension to all of them that I didn’t expect.

  • Milknut

    I second this… whew!! O_O

  • Dotcom

Naveed looks so much a “bad” girl I knew from high school (by bad I not only mean she stole everyone’s bf but was nasty to most other girls who did NOTHING to her). 15 years later, I run into her FB profile through an acquaintance. She looked over twice her age with leathery skin and a permanent scowl on her face. The tooth-pick body she had as a teen remained—save the floppy pot belly on the front of it. She still dressed exactly the same though.

  • Ramification

Hmm…the tank had nothing occurring in it before…
I forgot Gunner had that tattoo…who had #1, Zap?

  • ggab

    Double negatives are tricky.

  • Dgeniu

Superimposing the image of that grown-up high school girl over older Naveed proved hilarious!

  • Dgeniu

I hope this will have the Elementaro reconsider their relationship with Naveed. So far they lost more than they gained…

  • Natasha_arrindell

I think it’s time the for Elementaro to leave, cause clearly Naveed doesn’t look like she’ll ever win an arguement on their behalf with Gunner.

  • (He wanted Io to see)

  • I don’t really think of Naveed as a furry when I draw her. I don’t even envision her as having fur, but just white skin. So, that’s my two cents!

  • Yeah, don’t read into it that way. Io just thought that Naveed would be their advocate to Gunner. Seeing them in an embrace is kind of a slap in the face for him. It means they have no real allies.

  • It’s not a tank, it’s a window of the cityscape outside. If you go back, you’ll see lights intermittently.

  • Yeah, this is pretty much the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

  • Anonymous

I kind of figured she would have her tail curled around him somehow during that embrace.

    thats all.

  • Tsukineko9

Just wanted to say that this page is BEAUTIFULLY done. It’s really remarkable just how much your drawing style has improved since page one.

  • Psionicost

The door looks like it was closed originally and then slid open ever so quietly. Poor IO. Now the Elementaro have nowhere to go. Homeworld blown up, “allies” gunner and Naveed betrayed em, and working under Naveed, they’ve P.O.d near everyone else.

  • Ramification

I had already forgotten (I really did). Why are they on the same ship with Gunner?
What I mean is, why this changes everything? Has the reason they’ve signed on with Gunner in the first place changed? I believe not. So, is the recent chain of events so drastic as to weaken their resolve/desire of that goal, or is the pay-off simply not worth it now that it came to realization that “hey, you may die on this mission”?

  • The GEF destroyed their planet and took the four of them as genetic specimens. Naveed freed them, at Gunner’s behest and they agreed to work with Gunner.

What has changed is they now realize that they are not Gunner’s allies, and that he simply used them to accomplish his goals.

I agree. That makes sense, since cats will sometimes curl their tails around things they like (my cat has done it a few times)

  • Dizzle

Didn’t take too long for Gunner to get her out of that top.

  • Thanks! Hard to believe I’ve been drawing this comic for 8 years!

Well…. Naveed certainly didn’t waste any time stripping….
At first, I thought Io’s expression meant he had a thing for Naveed, but having read other people’s comments (particularly Pascalle’s), this page makes more sense to me now.
Poor Io, now he must be the bearer of bad news to his comrades. “Hey, Europa, Gany…. Naveed sold us out to some hot, purple-headed, snake-eyed freak. And I caught them making out. We should run….NOW”

  • ggab

LOL. I wasn’t expecting that you wouldn’t ignore that commentary (that’s probably wrong, but I don’t claim to actually know English ).

  • Jaken45

Idk maybe its just me but I saw it more as Gunner was passing along some sort of get out of here message ( hence the close up of his eye all psychic yellow-like) and Lo looks really hurt like he just got caught spying on something.

Zap had a falcon tattoo while Gunner had the snake tattoo. I do’t think Zap’s looked like a number… *starts going through archives* see you in a month. this might take a while…

  • There is for sure a shot of Zap’s tattoo in issue 100

  • Chatterbaby

Just checking… is that her shirt on the floor?

  • Gunner is definitely saying “get out of here.”

“Get ALL THE WAY out. I don’t need you anymore.”

  • TheSkrilla

Well, it’s certainly not on her chest…

  • Neiona

“Oops, I lost my top!  Silly me!”

  • Counteridol

    Zap’s falcon tattoo looks like a 3

  • Ramification

The alternative will be to join the feeble GEF resistance or live as hunted rogues (until Gunner is done killing everything) for a very long time.
They’re obviously no match for Gunner, and leaving a villain usually implies he’s going to be gunning, excuse the pun, for you.

So what are they going to do?

  • Jonathan B

Gah! Now you put images of the furless Kilrathi from the Wing Commander movie in my head. Out, out!

  • Jonathan B

I wouldn’t really say so. The Elementaros could probably find a home with Reona if they switched sides. They haven’t been evil so much as obedient to Naveed.

  • Daniel Kauwe

i feel really bad for them…their planet got blown up, there is only 3 of them left, one of them died to protect Naveed, really sad :(

  • Dig it out with a fork. That usually works for me.

  • Abd Al-Azrad

    What’s with the 2?

  • Abd Al-Azrad

Or rather, I seem to have forgotten the significance of the number 2.  Why does he have a ‘2’ tagged on his arm?

  • Ramification

The plot thickens. Also, Zap’s clairvoyance said in the strip #100 that Efrem died…

  • Weelll… (spoilers)

Don’t pay such close attention right now! GEEZE.

  • Sunphoenix_72

    Ssssssmmokking!!!

  • Sunphoenix_72

Yes this is Beautiful, Steamy, emotion-filled, full of innuendo and imagery that says all…without a single word.  It showcases the masterful manipulative skills of Gunner…who pushes Naveed away again and again… just enough that when he finally lets her have her heart’s desire… she is actually even more under his control.

His every expression when he interacts with Naveed bears this subtle…’Cat and Mouse’ game he loves to play and plays so well with his lover… but it is obvious to me… Gunner does indeed feel Naveed is HIS possession.

… after a fashion he does indeed love her.  But he has mastered controlling and setting off… and on… her emotions.

    BRAVO Story-telling!

…lol.  I’m sure Naveed will do more than wrap her tail around him when she starts to purr in his embrace.

Got to admit.. I really admire this villain.  He’s gotten Waaay cool, since his somewhat emo image when he was introduced.  I want to see him back in his cloak… So Cool!

but…er after some ‘private’ time with his sexy Naveed… he and she deserve it.

    Now…speaking of… ZAP? {hint hint…}

  • Sunphoenix_72

Opps..meant to reply to you Pascalle…

    {What’s above… is for you..lol!}

PS: Wish this post forum allowed one to delete your messages or edit them.

  • Jonathan B

You know, it just occured to me that if the Elementaros are sufficiently disillusioned with Gunner, helping Zap escape and leaving with him could be quite the way to show it….

  • Jonathan B

Hmm. This is what thinking things through does. It also just occured to me, for all my focus on the ship Reona is on allowing her to reach other Lost Ones first, that she’s also sitting on a giant Gunner/Zap detector. The question is whether its detection functions without a Lost One aboard to interface with it.
