(Wait, that makes her sound like she’s turning into a vampire…) Or maybe it’s NOT the first time, but that first time was so traumatic it’s what turned her into a robophile…

    at this moment kasey is thinking one of two things, either she is contemplating the size of grontar’s *cough* ‘dremel’ tool, or thinking “EWWWW, i just hugged a quadrillion !!”

    of course i would not be surprised if on the next page they both went “YUUUUUUUUCCKK!”

    One technical/artistic note that I would like to point out is that I like the way in panel 1 how Casey’s face is part pink by some unknown force, then in panel 2 you see that we were just looking through some odd glass object.

    I also love the artistic touch of opening the scene through a distorted glass lens .

    It also occurs to me that Kasey may be the only one of the Exclesior crew tall enough to kiss Grontar without getting a step ladder and vice versa.

    But really, this is one of those cases where I wonder if the scene was part of your plan, or if Pascalle said, “They’ve gotta kiss!” She certainly seems excited about it, either way.

    Apparently Grontar is fluent in schematic diagrams – the Stickle language of love.

  • Its something we came up with awhile ago, but not at the beginning. Something to remember is that Kasey was not going to be in the comic again after the Casino arc but fans loved her so much we wrote her back in. It was shortly after that we came up with the idea for her and Grontar. Pascalle and I then decided to write that in as well.
