    And that little miscommunication–where ironically it’s not Zap but Reona who lacks understanding–that just intensifies the tension/sadness for me–I wonder how much Zap now knows about what’s about to happen, both to him and humanity in general? Gah, the suspense!

    Does anyone else suspect that those are actually some cosmic red strings of fate that are supposed to guide Reona to Zap but will “unintentionally” lead Gunner to Excelsior? *twang*

    I’ve been lamenting the loss of Zap’s cute innocent expression, but it came back in panel 4, in a satisfyingly painful way.

    And Reona’s ribbons are relentlessly beautiful.

    Reona somehow has a mind-link to Zap. Where can I get some of that surgery anesthetic? Her love fills Zap so he stops thinking, and pushes Gunner out of his head. Bodiless Gunner-mind dissipates and humanity is saved. There’s still enough bad guys to fight.
