No this is what I’d hoped for! Zap does not hate Gunner nor does he hate Naveed… I’m glad cause psychotic, murderous, sex-kitty that she is.. she really does love Gunner… as he does her! That’s some small spark of goodness within them, they both still kno wwhat love is or at least as close an approximation as it comes with them!
No. I think Zap is of the mind that a ‘true’ meeting of the minds needs to take place here… He and Gunner NEEd to Really talk. As I believe Zap knows things now that he could not tell Gunner before, but will effect how this is resolved! Can’t wait! :)

LOLS! No… this was a display of power… meant to disarm Gunner. I’ll explain.. Zap could have just as easily taken Gunner’s head off..he MEANT to hit his hair and MEANT it to show him … he could not stop him from doing so IF Zap wanted him dead…Gunner would be dead! He even gave him back his girl to show emphatically.. he was NOT there to fight. This was excellently well-played by Zap! Which is WHY Gunner did not immediately strike back… the message Zap sent was loud and clear… ‘You can’t stop me from killing you..so sit down and listen!
I would NEVER consider playing Chess with Zap… he’d be playing with you the whole time as he would already know how to beat you and when he would beat you! He’s TRULY dangerous! Thanks goodness there is not a hurtful motivation in his heart…after all.. he’s got the “Girl of his dreams”… in his arms now… he can afford to be ..merciful! :)

Things have been so dark for Zap and Co. it’s almost unsettling to see him so jovial and egad, is he smiling. I suppose being set free from a mental prison and remembering the girl of your dreams (and knowing that she actually does love you too) is something to smile about. That and being able to hover. If I could hover around like that, you couldn’t stop me from smiling.

I alos noticed this… Gunner with his powers could have easily slammed Naveed out of the way to immediately strike back at Zap… he’s shown his ability to use TK is quite proficient…. but… that would have hurt Naveed… :) Who he really does care about.. so he could not do that. Aslo Zap could have easily flung the nelpless Naveed with enough force to have hurt her and Gunner… :) he chose not too… cause Zap is not a hurtful person and he’s not there to hurt Gunner or anyone else if he can avoid it!

{BIG GRIN!} Yeah.. I can see that in Gunner’s expression all the time when he’s dealing with Naveed. Only when they are in private …does he reveal the tenderness for her… also why he was so angry at the Satellite’s intrusion! He does not like to seem weak and he can’t resolve the fact that he does indeed love Naveed.. and he thinks of that as a weakness.
Naveed isn’t a psychic and that has always hit Gunner wrong and he doesn’t know how to get over it.

I’ve got it! Zap cut Gunner’s hair because Gunner is secretly like sampson and all his power is in his hair. In the back-pages, he didn’t start going psychic-evil until his hair started getting woah-long, long enough to be braided.
Zap has just cunningly crippled Gunner’s power by missing on killing Gunner! :D

Zap is most definitely a master strategist. The Zap we saw throughout most of the comic was really a shadow of his former self as a result of the memory wiping. However, there are many indications that before then Zap was an absolute chessmaster who even intended to get mind-wiped as a strategy and manipulated his mind-wiped self. One has to admire the guy who can manipulate himself.

I love how Zap just happly cuts Gunners hair, it’s like something he’d wanted to do for YEARS! Though, I have to admit, soemthing abotu Zap’s eyes makes that scene creepy. IS it cuz their bigger than usual or soemthing?
