Firstly: Thanks for all the extra updates. *glomp*

Secondly: Zap’s got these wrap up and leave things down pat. First with the dueling armies, he knocks out all the crowned psychics then basically scares the GEF guys **itless with one word. Now he’s flying up to Gunner and barely says five sentences before he’s all “We’re leaving”. Abrupt. Zap takes care of business.

Thirdly: I love how excitedhappyenthusiaticthrilled Excelsior is.

Fourthly: Oh good, he didn’t forget William or Holly.

SPOILER ALERT!!! William gets punched in the face!

I wonder how Zap is growing some bones. He looks much taller now! And poor gunner has been so quiet recently, is he planning something? I suspect. After all, he is the serpent, not a kid!
One more thing, this semi-conic 3D display where excelsior came out, did not exist before! We have seen one similar prototype in Gunner’s hands. Is that a hint to future hints?
and… that memory stick back from Reona’s home. Still in someone’s pocket. I really crave whats inside :D

2 hours later…..

*Galaxy Orbital Patrol unit 42 investigating disturbance within system rim planetary limits. GOPS camera crew on site*

-officer Lucky- *looking back and forth at camera while walking to crime scene* “my name is Captain Lucky Spacebins we’re here because we received a call of a possible domestic disturbance here a short time ago but after a cursory glance at the area we may be dealing with a mob hit or maybe two political factions battling for control. we’re seeing a lot of bodies around, some with weapons and some without but with headgear..looks like it may be some kind of control device”

-officer#2- “sir, take a look at this”
*lucky walks over to another officer kneeling down and poking around the torso of a body missing everything below the waist*
-officer Lucky- what is it?…..did this guy get hit with a laser rifle?”
-officer#2- “no sir, there’s no cauterizing on the wounds but i am picking up some kind of weird residual energy signature i’ve never seen before”
-officer Lucky- “thats odd…wait. iv’e seen this signature before, we got a call not too long ago on a space station casino and found a few guys like this with that same energy signature, they were turned into julienne french fries. we’re probably dealing with the same group here, i’d say this may have been a retaliation strike.

*a few minutes later, lucky receives a call about a witness*

-officer Lucky- “we’re heading over to the main complex right now, somebody found a janitor that was apparently hiding out while the incident was occurring,”
*camera cuts to questioning of witness in main complex, witness seems agitated*

-officer#3- “ma’am, please calm down we just want to ask..”

-Nova Brown- “Calm down!, CALM DOWN!! HOW THE *BEEP* AM I SUPPOSE TO CALM THE *BEEP* DOWN?!!. I JUST WATCHED A WHOLE BUNCH OF GUYS RUNNING AROUND KILLIN EACH OTHER WITH GUNS AND LIGHT FLY’IN OUTTA THEY HANDS LIKE SOME KIND OF JEDI *BEEP* OR SOMETHING AND YO STANDIN THERE TELLIN ME TO CALM DOWN??!! WHY DONT YOU GO F…”

-officer Lucky- “WHOAH!…settle down ma’am, we just need to know what happened. can you tell me who was here and what kind of weapons were used?”

-Nova Brown- “weapons?, I told you them army lookin dudes was using guns and them guys in orange spandex was shooting light from de hands and *beep*, then that crazy cat lady that never wears underwear was running with a sword chasin dis little guy and…”

-officer Lucky- “wait, catgirl with a sword?….did she have white fur, grey hair and a bad attitude?”

-Nova Brown- YEA!!…dat was her !”

-officer Lucky- “sounds like Naveed, she broke out of prison and gutted a few guards not too long ago, been out of site till now.”

-Nova Brown- ” and der was this other guy in here hanging from sum light *beep* through his arms while this guy wit long blue hair was griping at’em. and then dis white boy wit blonde hair floated in here and *beep* and went up to blue and got shocked!!”

-officer Lucky- “wait, wait,…who got shocked?”

-Nova Brown- “BLUE!!, BLUE GOT SHOCKED….THAT BLONDE BOY CUT OFF THAT BLUE HAIRED BOY’S SHOCK OF HAIR WIT SOME WEIRD LIGHT FROM HIS HAND AND *BEEP*, AINT YO BEEN LISTENIN ?!!!”

-officer Lucky- “blue got shocked?….what happend after that?”

-Nova Brown- “that blonde boy told the blue one to pack up his killer *beep* cat and get the *beep* out. then that blonde boy, a ship and all his guys done dissapeared like FAWOOSH!, SHOOM SHOOM !…DEY WAS ALL GONE !!”

*camera cuts away and comes back on officer Lucky outside*

-officer Lucky- ” we’ll it seems it was a faction fight here, two different groups trying to wipe out the other, our witness seems to be in a state of…shock and keeps claiming that some of these guys were using some form of directed energy attacks but is highly unlikely so we’ll take her back to headquarters and question her after she calms down. we picked up a blue hair sample we can use to identify one of key persons involved, also we did get a good lead so far with confirmation that Naveed was here and we’ll follow that up and see if we can find out what her role in this is and whether or not she was or was not in fact wearing underwear during this altercation……
what a mess”

*camera cuts away to black with the GOPS logo flashing on screen*

Okay, here is a question. How did Excelsior know to pick up William too? If she got a mental order from Zap, how did HE know? Did he read Reoan’s mind without asking (shame on you Zap) or did they talk on the way to facing Gunner? Or on the way to protecting William earlier from Naveed?
Also, love Zap’s threat. It’s onvious he still cares about Gunner, so he isnt going to take care of him now. However, it does concern me that he is lettign a genocidal sociopath and his homicidal girlfirend go.

The control helmets/crowns could all have been Gunner’s idea, rather than Zap’s…

And I too am curious to know just what is the deal with the personality chip that Reona found.

Yeah, people are like “How did he know to get William and everyone else?” and I’m like “Psychic.”

I think all of the clues are there now to know what is up with Zap and everything, but it’s been so long people have forgotten! Ten years is a long time to be dropping plotline hints. lol.

The final chapter has a big flashback that pulls it all together, so you can either try and parse the archives for everything or just wait for us to show you! :)

Whilst rereading the archives, I discovered this snippet of conversation concerning the crowns between Efrem and Reona in Issue #333:

“It remains one of Vexler’s more ingenious inventions.”

(calmly pats Justin on the shoulder with a calm smile) Oh, Justin! It isn’t Wiliam’s fault he’s there, he was just transported without consent! Given the choice, I am sure he would have proffered to go with the rest of his colleagues as far away from YOU as possible. (proceeds to groin the man) HANDS OFF!!!

The thing about that is, there is a rule about reading minds without permission. I dunno, Maybe I’m too familiar with Proff. X’s personal philosophies, but reading minds without permission seems very wrong to me.

I get that, but letting him go is obviously a big mistake. Shouldn’t he, I dunno, put him somewhere where he can be watched or evaluated or whatever?

It’s a huge mistake. The entire last chapter is basically Zap having to deal with it.

Efrem legit joined the resistance on his own and by happenstance got put on a mission to take out Naveed.

Naveed, Gunner, Efrem and Zap were all a little group before the start of the comic’s events. We go into it in the next chapter.

I don’t know. I think Zap is just so in-tune with Reona that he makes sure to take care of what she wants.

I guess this counts as fanfiction?
