OH NO NOT EARTH. I LIVE THERE.

I can’t wait to see how this plays out. Will the rebels end up working with the GEF to stop Gunner?

  • Marduk

    Planets are awfully big things.

  • Berserk Knight

We are currently undergoing remodeling. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Aye, it would take quite a number of ships to effectively blockade… though I wonder if even then could Excelsior ‘jump’ past that to the atmosphere?

  • Jorge L. Carreras Jr.

So getting the hell out of dodge is not an option for the elementals either? Geesh!

  • I did my original sketch, then googled some earth pictures to reference in the final drawing and was like “nope, gotta make it bigger. way way way bigger.”

It’s still probably not even big enough. It’s hard to tell perspective in space, though.

The graphics here are awesome! :D Especially the first panel…

But, shamefully, my favorite part of this page is Zap in this stance and being all in-control and UNF.

    (SorryI’mhorrible)

  • Gable roof, open concept, stainless steel appliances, euro furniture! Get some hardwood floors and granite counter tops in there and they could feature Excelsior on HGTV! Also, you make the best space planets (don’t tell me they’re easy, Pascal!!)

  • Crestlinger

Ultimate taunt to get Gunner’s attention: ‘Hey Gunner! I got your braid!’

  • Marduk

Heh, well I think ye pulled it off

  • lol

  • They’re easy, Alex.

Blockading the planet is sort of a classic sci fi trope.

Yes, logically, I agree it makes little sense. If you have the industrial might to generate so many ships that you actually can blockade a planet it strongly implies that you also have advanced weapons which would imply that you need to stage the blockade at a much higher altitude in order to be able to effectively respond in time to counter incoming threats which would imply that you need a lot more ships which . . . all ends in a bad circular place that isn’t a lot of fun.

The much more plausible scenario is a widely dispersed and inexpensive sensor net which would enable a much smaller force to effectively intercept and block any incoming force.

But that would be ruining a perfectly good Trope,

We’re talking about super powerful psychics in space ships here guys. Get with the program.

… And we would like to assure you that the guided missiles currently converging with your ship are part of a special service we extend to all of our most enthusiastic visitors.

  • Um, I actually drew a big ship with a bunch of little drones, so…

  • Marduk

    Lies!

  • Berserk Knight

High-tech missiles cost millions, and are single-use.
Now that’s expensive enough to qualify as a “VIP treatment” if anything.

  • JasonAW3

You may live there NOW, but not for long…

  • J S

Sorry Earth is closed, please return during business hours.

  • Charles Borner

But if he…breaks…into Shatner…dialect…I’m outta here.

  • safyrejet

Sorry, but everytime I hear/read/see the phrase “Welcome to Earth” I’m thinking of Will Smith punching a tentacle alien in the head.

  • Marduk

Hmm interesting discourse. I wonder if anyone has actually crunched some estimates on the kind of man power needed? In any case, before GEF even got this big they extincted Zap’s home planet, so I’m sure resources are not an issue.
