Doom is the best sound effect. Ever.

Hmm… Could it be, that the White Room is the part of Zap’s mind that was erased?  He’s wandering back in there, trying to find pieces of his old self?  When I first read this, I thought the slitted-pupil eyes were Gunners, but now I’m fairly sure they are Zap’s – Old Zap’s, at that.

Interesting, and well done!  This whole sequence has a nicely dream-like quality to it.  I may have to go back and re-read everything from the beginning *again*, to get all the hidden and semi-hidden references!
