Hm. Until now, I know only 3 Psychics: Efrem, Zap and Gunner.
As Excelsior's avatar looks like Reona, I'm pretty sure it's Efrem's ship. As for Gunner- I think that his ship's avatar would be… different.
This leaves Zap. Maybe this is why Gunner wants to restore Zap's powers so quickly: so that Daedelus can detect him and comes to him.

I don't know if anyone can see this, since I'm replying directly through Disqus, but I couldn't think of another way to do it. When I try to go to http://www.zapcomic.com, I get a parking page that says “This Account Has Been Suspended”.

the host suspended the account because we were taking up too much server resources. they gave me no warning and i'm very pissed. i'll be turning zapinspace.com back on tonight while i try to fix it with a new host.

Wow, that was a much quicker response than I expected! Then again, I can understand why this issue would have most of your attention right now … ;) Well, I doubt there's much I could do to help – my company does host a small webserver, but I'm quite certain it would choke and die trying to handle Zap's traffic – but if there's anything I might do to help, let me know. :)

If you know anyone who reads Zap, just let them know what's going on. hopefully I'll be able to get access to the database, which would really speed getting the website back up.

I don't know any of the other readers directly (I'm not a particularly social person … ), but I did post the news in a couple of comment communities in which I actively participate (“Digger”, by Ursula Vernon, and “The Dreamland Chronicles”, by Scott Sava, if you're familiar with them.) I also suggested to the authors to contact you if they knew you and had any helpful hosting suggestions; Scott at least strikes me as the kind of person who will bend over backward to help if he can. If I happen to run across any other readers who are still clueless elsewhere in my wanderings, I'll be sure to clue them in. Good luck! :)

Yeah, Holly's dad isn't a prisoner at all! He's just been bewitched by Daedalus and is now working on 'hard light' hologram technology so they can be married for real. That brief moment with Robot was probably the first time since forever that Daedalus has spent away from daddy.
If Gunner had his own fancy psychic-ship, why would he have sent Naveed out to get Zap's?

It makes more sense to me the other way round (see my comment above).
And Gunner wants this ship because only Daedelus who can find the lost ones. So it doesn't matter if he has his own psychic-ship or not.

Interesting, I like the way you design the ship AIs as women. Reminds me of Star Trek and Farscape where the ships were portrayed by females any time they developed a personality (Star Trek) or felt the need to voice their opinion or put their foot down (Moya from Farscape).
