Gunner’s a jerk! Remember when he said that to Naveed, way back when?

Stuff this week!

First stuff! TOMOPOP did a review of our Billy the Squid toy. I’m totally flattered! Check it out, and pick up a squid already! They are great. I worked really hard on those silly squids and I’m super proud of how they turned out.

Second stuff! I dumped a bunch of sketches and illustrations on my blog over the weekend. Check it out! Art art art!

Third stuff! New print of Callisto. Something commemorative for her fans.

You can pick it up in the store.

Thanks for reading!

Gunner may be a jerk, but he is not stupid. If he really knew that would happen, he knew he would get something that is worth loosing a rather powerful minion. Deciphering this is critical, I’ll be in the chamber of understanding….

I really love your new print of Callisto! And today’s page, of couse.

Please don’t tell me we’re getting two deaths on such a short time! My heart canna take it D:

  • Foxmcld584

I debate whether or not this is a critical sacrifice, or if Gunner is trying to clear non-psychics off the board…

  • Guest

Powerful in the force he is. (Gunner)

And: The sea aliens are too powerful….run away!

I read through this entire fight sequence again and I must say…the colouring and shading are wonderful…Especially on my new high-res monitor! ;)

  • Oh boy, does she get to snap? :D

Wow, Gunner really is a jerk! What will Naveed do now?

  • Grimlock13

I don’t think he knew all about it, or he would have made a plan to save the “temple”. He could have seen the demise of some of them, that’s possible, but he visibly didn’t saw everything.

  • Sonicfreak

Yeah he’s kind of a ass like that

  • cool_gamer_1_2

that or he knew the ship wouldnt so easily been destroyed remember the computer said her captain was calling they never saw a captain in the temple wat if they just blew up wat was holding the ship

  • Sarazu

They were merely pawns and in chess pawns get eaten for breakfast.

  • He probably just knew about the guardians and that they weren’t to be taken lightly. Everything else that has occured, Reona, pirates, ship blown up, wouldn’t have had to been forseen. Had they not been there the guardians still would have been, and they are aggressive toward everyone that isn’t Reona.

  • Probably more like he figured it would be a suicide mission…..

…dun think Nav’s going to go along with Gunner’s plans now :P

Well gunner has shown he is more than willing to flippantly send Naveed into danger without the full information he had available to him and ‘obviously’ not with anything or anyone he considered too valuable {translation: anyone not-psionic}, like Efreem or any of his other psionic assets. I’m not sure how Naveed will take such an obvious lack of concern for her personal safety to not even warn her of what opposition she might meet! Naveed is not stupid, maybe a little passionately reckless but not blind, she may not turn on Gunner immediately…but you can bet she’s thinking about just what about Gunner is really worth such treatment!

  • Gillsing

He knew, but he also told her. So what’s his game? Aren’t any of them supposed to come back alive, or did he just want to impress her with his predictions and callousness? If he had wanted them to actually succeed, wouldn’t he have warned them about the psychic Aquarians? After all, knowing is half the battle.

  • Werefox2009

She will call a retreat or surrender…. As I said back when the first elemental died “it will affect her” “she does care about them” naveed just lost atleast one of the people that treated her like a person, not a tool, and now ill bet she is going to snag the little one and run, or she surrenders to save the others. Nav’ is isn’t just a killing machine, and i believe that the most dramatic turn around would be her switching sides if not now then down the road, if shes not killed off uslessly…..

    “It won’t be as crowded.”

    EVIL!

  • Hylian_Link

Uh… Gunner wasn’t the ship’s captain. Zap was.

  • Sunphoenix_72

WOW! Naveed is really sexy…been a while since I’d viewed thse pages! Why are all the hot sexy girls involved with the most rotten SOB boy-friends who mistreat and take them for granted?!?!?

  • Warlock

Because they say want a nice guy yet don’t give us a 2nd look.

  • Woah. No way. Naveed is sexy, but she is jealous, spoiled, immature and kind of a total bitch. If you think she is an ideal woman to date you deserve to not get a second look.

  • Trigger

The Satellites represent a threat to Gunner’s power, psionically and politically (as the last of their race), so it’s entirely plausible that he would knowingly send them to their deaths. He obviously trusted Naveed to survive, possibly taking the ship while the Satellites were busy fending off the Aquarians and leaving them behind. I doubt he expected her to get attached to them.

While Naveed is surely familiar with Gunner’s callousness, I think this may be the first time she won’t be able to justify forgiving him for it, or brushing it off. Then again, he may be able to weasel out of her ire by reminding her that he was perfectly confident in HER to succeed…but regardless I think the seeds of doubt have been planted, and she may start to wonder if a time will come when he will discard her thoughtlessly as well.

Naveed seems to reveal a little bit more about herself in each successive page. We may be witnessing the beginning of a turnaround. I doubt seriously that she’ll team up with the “good guys,” but her days of blindly following Gunner may be numbered.

  • Marduk

I’m thinking Gunner just has a high appreciation for Zap’s minions. Yes, he was a bit snide and non caring but i think it’s more on the lines of ‘those things there are badder news than the Satellites’

  • Everyone is noticing the whole “it won’t be as crowded” line, but I’m stuck on the “bring me his ship” line.
HIS ship, after talking about Zap at the end of the previous page.
I’m guessing Zap had something to do with Daedalus as well as Excelsior…

  • Benji

ohhh gunner is soo darth vader but….cooler…and wit hair on his head….

  • LucarioGuy15

Crap, seriously!? Now’s Ganymede who’s toast? I’m starting to hate the Aquarians… >.<

  • Don Quixote

Reffering to the comment I made on the last page, that print was the ad in question.

  • TheBear

I’m thinking that it wasn’t the ship itself he cared about, and that Robot might start showing signs of Multiple Personality Disorder sometime soon. Think pink?

  • John Smith

    Caring Gunner is caring. *eyeroll*
